Fellow Canadian and Bianca devoted fan Faron Mardell gets his latex icon tattooed on his right leg!

Mr. Mardell contacted us with photos about his recent colorful artistic acquisition.   Mardell is one of many fans who indulged in having their sexy icon inked on their body!   Here’s what Mr. Faron had to say about the whole experience, and about the tattoo inked by tattoo artist Mike DeVries:

Q. Hello Mr. Mardell!  Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself?

A. Absolutely.  My name is Faron Mardell, 30 year career Firefighter in Ft. McMurray, Alberta Canada.  I owned my own photography business for 16 years, musician since the age of 15 playing in various bands locally and played on the road for a short stint before becoming a FF. I’m loving every minute of my career! Best career in the world bar none IMHO. My career is coming to an end soon and my plans are to continue somehow, somewhere within the ink world perhaps working for an Ink Magazine.

Q. What do you like about tattoos?

A. I became a FF in 1981.  Ever since that time I always new I wanted a tattoo. I met a co-worker who instilled in me early on some very important values, which allowed me to wait till 3 years ago when I persued my tattoo journey.  The Great Bob Tyrrell worked on my first piece on my back. We quickly became friends and he introduced me to other great tattooists, and so on.  So now, I only get ink from world class artists/tattooists who I am very proud to call a few of my great friends!

Q. How many tattoos do you have?

A. One  third of my body is now covered in ink!

Q. Wow! Impressive! Why did you get a Bianca tattoo?

A. I have always been a very sexual man, never really knowing where I fit in until I found the fetish world at age 35 when I divorced a very prudish, now ex-wife. This allowed me to explore this world more and find my place. Over the years is where I found the Gorgeous Bianca! Her beautiful eyes is really what caught my full attention. The fact that she is bodacious, beautiful smile, caries herself with flair and profesionalism, represents Canada in a way I think is spectacular.

There are many things about Bianca that make me smile on a daily basis. I have her twitter and love watching when she sends her girly information like going shopping or enjoying my day at the beach or whatever. Just being a typical every day person. Just means that we are all human and have our own likes dislikes and we should not be judged for them.  I could sit here for quite some time chatting about all the qualities that I enjoy and love about what Bianca means to me. Yes there are others out there that do similar things but, lets face it: Bianca has Red Hair (My GF is also RedHead!), Gorgeous Eyes, Perfect Curves and is from CANADA!! Need I say more?

Q. What’s next with your tattoos?

A. On June 12 of this year, Mike DeVries will be adding another piece to my fetish leg. Bianca is still the main theme and subject of my fetish leg.  Meanwhile I have been leaning towards adding the image of RubberDoll who worked with Bianca in a Pony Girl spread for Bizarre magazine.  The inside leg of my Fetish Sleeve is going to be more hardcore in theme, hard rubber, masks, needles or bondage.

Q. How do people react to your tattoo of Bianca?

A. I am very excited about my Fetish Sleeve because of the quality of work that I get done. Its like an actual photo on my leg I get to look at every day when I wake up. That makes me smile! Everyone who sees the work and her face say how BEAUTIFUL SHE IS!!! The compliments are many, and that makes me smile!

“I have an endless amount of latex fashion ideas that are ready to come to life.”

BBAA: Hi Gina! Bianca’s recent appearance at Fetish Evolution features three colorful latex outfits that you personally designed: two buckle themed outfits and one Star Trek outfit. Can you tell our readers how you came to design these outfits for Bianca?

GINA KING: It started with a collaboration with Mario Bouchard to make a latex outfit based on my “Peppermint Trick” painting, as seen in the BBAA 2 film. Seeing my idea brought to life was a feeling I wanted to experience again and again…so i began sketching like crazy, coming up with several mini-collections of looks for latex.

Bianca had expressed an interest in seeing more of my ideas become latex fashions. I shared several of my fashion sketches with Bianca and Mario at Polymorphe. When it was time to select outfits for Fetish evolution, she chose two of my Buckle designs. Also, she was wanting a sexy star trek uniform, based on the costumes worn in the original series. I was asked to come up with a sexed-up version of this with Bianca in mind. I love the collaborative process…coming up with many concepts, narrowing it down to a final choice, and incorporating special requests into the design. The final results of the designs are just…WOW! :)
I can’t wait to dress up Bianca again! :)

BBAA: Will we see a ByGina latex clothing line in the future?

GINA KING: I am going to make sure that happens! When I set a goal…i go after it, so I’m feeling positive about this. It has always been a dream of mine to produce a line of fashions that have been inspired by my artwork. I have an endless amount of latex fashion ideas that are ready to come to life. It has been a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Bianca and with Polymorphe.

BBAA: We posted a few articles about your art in the past, notably your artworks featuring Bianca. What inspires you to paint Bianca?

GINA KING: One thing I love about Bianca is that she can pull off any look…just look at the variety in her photoshoots. She can be the good-girl in lingerie, the glamour girl, the shiny latex vixen, or an evil villain. I enjoy painting a variety of themes, so it is a good match. Another thing that inspires me is her personality…she is very friendly, fun, and down to earth. On top of all that she genuinely appreciates the artwork and the hard work that goes into it. I am blessed to have such an amazing muse! :)

BBAA: Did painting Bianca impact your career so far? If so, in what ways?

GINA KING: The impact has been very positive. I get lots of compliments written in french now too… Bianca’s fans in Quebec seem to really enjoy seeing new artworks of her :) It has exposed my art to more of the international latex and fetish community. And now, I’m being seen for the first time as a designer. Also, Bianca’s confidence in my ideas has been very encouraging.

BBAA: Your paintings are sexually charged with beauty, sexiness and lust. As a female artist, what inspires you to paint female pin-up models?

GINA KING: A large part of it is coming up with the outfits ideas for my models to wear in the paintings. Sometimes my ideas start with a pose, but most of the time they start with an idea for a skimpy outfit as a starting point. I love to dress up the models and accessorize them on a canvas. I have always loved painting the female form…espeically curvy figures. I feel that women can do it all…and look smoking hot while they do it…I try to convey that feeling with my art.

Bianca Beauchamp turned blonde for about six months last year.  The transformation left many fans questioning her choice of departing from her trademark red hair, while others embraced the daring move and welcomed the change of looks (see our post on Bianca’s Top 10 Latex photoshoots of 2008!).  During that short period of time, Beauchamp spent most of her time posing in front of the camera.  To our knowledge, only one video interview documented the hair style change.

Bianca Beauchamp is nothing short of a success story to dream of. Beauchamp appeared online in 1998 with latexlair.com where she started publishing photos of hyerself modeling in latex. As simple as that, a latex model was suddenly born, and with her a new wave of modeling. Our main goal with the following interview was to make it as original and informational as possible for our readers. Bianca Beauchamp has been interviewed countless times over the course of her career, by print media and web publications alike. We found that most of them usually remain on the surface of questions surrounding Bianca’s very well documented career. Our challenge was to come up with new questions and dig deeper to get to know more of our favorite fetish icon without actually creating an interview the size of a book. At the same time, we had a mission to cover the story behind the making of the All Access films. BBAA: Hi Bianca! It is an honor to do this interview with you. How are you doing?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: Very nice! Thanks for asking!

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: I think 1996 or 1997. I would dress up with the only latex dress I had and pose for Martin. Most of the time, our short photography session would take place before we would go out clubbing at the Fetish Café (unfortunately closed now). It’s only in 1998 that we launched the Latex Lair website to share our passion for latex with others.

BBAA: Why latex photos?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: Latex photography was a seduction game between us. It wasn’t work and wasn’t done to get published. Basically, we were a couple having fun and taking snaps. Also, at the time internet was very new and we could find only little about latex photography and what we mostly found didn’t represent what we felt at all. So we decided to create our own vision. When I got more money, I invested it in more latex outfits. Great coincidence for us, we found out Polymorphe Latex Fashion, who was also just beginning, right here in Montreal. Doing business with him cost cheaper than importation, but also Polymorphe became a strong ally. Slowly but surely, I bought several outfits over the years. The more I shop, the more my latex passion grew stronger. With all the various latex style, I realized I then could express different emotions and energy in front of the camera. Modeling was for me a good therapy to improve my self confidence and to let go on some fears and angers. But in the end, why latex and not pvc or leather? Well I guess for me, after my first love for sexy lingerie and some pvc, latex became the ultimate kinky, sexy and original material and devoting my time and love to make high quality latex photography was and still is a beautiful challenge!

BBAA: Many people online and medias alike have referred to you as “the top latex fetish model”. Do you agree with that statement?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: Like I’ve said, we couldn’t find a lot of quality latex photography web sites, nor latex model. Models would perhaps dress up in  latex but they would not be considered a latex model as they would only wear latex from time to time on their website. And that is if they had a web site! Most quality latex photography I could find back then was mainly coming from the renowned fetish magazine Marquis. I think I am referred as the “top latex model” because I was one of the very first to launch a latex site and then made a living out of it. Martin and I also always made sure that we would only present high quality photography. Teaming up with the Montreal latex company Polymorphe, my friend and hair stylist The Richard and very good pal and make-up artist Catherine contributed to my fame.

BBAA: Your website latexlair.com has been online since December 1998. That’s 10 years ago this year. Is it fair to say you were one of the first, if not the very first latex fetish model to make a career out of posing in latex?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: Very true. Today, we see a lot of female fetish models on the Internet. Some are good, some are not so good… Some want to make art, some want to do it for fun, some only want to make money. But it seems that every week, new models contact me to get some advice or ask to do a gallery trade. There are many new models but only a few will actually remain on the net long enough to be known or remembered. Competition can be tough nowadays, but most of all I think there is a misconception where newcomers think it’s easy to make money by modeling online. It’s not true. It takes total devotion and a lot of hard work to actually make a living out of it. I’m glad I have 10 years of experience, 10 years of photos, videos, publications in magazines, connections and friends… And 10 years of fans!

BBAA: Do you feel you have influenced photographers and models that work in fetish today?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: A lot of models emailed me in the past or met me at fetish parties to tell me I am an inspiration for them. It’s very flattering. Sometime, I even feel some models copied a little bit some of my expressions. I find it amusing. As for photographers, they are more quiet than models but I think many of the new generation photographers could have been influenced by Martin`s photography.

BBAA: Tell us about him… Most of your body of work was photographed by your life partner Martin Perreault. How is it for you to shoot mostly with the same person?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: It’s great! I just love it! Martin knows my body so well he can make sure I will always look good on photos. It’s also easier to communicate with your boyfriend than someone you don’t know. There is no shyness, insecurity, doubts, tensions, etc. It’s easy-going and fun!

“Sometimes, Martin & I disagree and then, we can fight a little. But to me, it only means that we are still very passionate about photography!”

BBAA: In your opinion, what are the Pros and Cons of working with your life partner?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: Well, since it’s a team work, the photography will represent what we want it to be, and we will publish what we really like. When I shoot for others, I’m never sure how the shoot will turn out and what they’re gonna publish in mags or websites. Let’s say shooting with your life partner gives you a better control over your work. It’s also more exciting for me when we plan the shooting together (props, outfits, make-up, studio, etc.). I feel I am not just posing and doing a work, but putting my heart in a project we build together. The major con is both Martin and I are stubborn and we both like to lead. So sometimes, we disagree and then, we can fight a little. But to me, it only means that we are still very passionate about photography!

BBAA: Where do you get your inspiration from when you pose for photoshoots? Are there any models or known persons that you admire and have been inspired from?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: In 1998, I saw very little of latex photography. By looking around, I got to know the magazine Marquis by Peter W. Czernich. His classy and unique photography has always been an inspiration for both Martin and I. Apart from him, I wouldn’t say I am inspired by models or photographers that much. I always loved Julie Strain, but she didn’t influence my photography or the way I pose and my admiration for her was out of respect for her accomplishments. My inspiration for modeling and for sets comes mainly from my imagination and sometimes from fairy tales. Since I love to play characters, it’s always easy to find themes. Also, the latex outfit by itself will inspire me during photo shoots. I am very visual so when I see an outfit, it helps me to see a concept.

BBAA: Can you share with us your views with working with other photographers in the past and how it was for you?

BIANCA BEAUCHAMP: Well I got to shoot with Peter W. Czernich, the one photographer I was truly inspired by. I shot with him several times and it’s  always been wonderful as Peter is easy to shoot with and the results are always fun to watch. Another photographer I shot with is Christophe Mourthé, a photographer I had always dreamed of shooting with because he has a very unique style. I loved the results right away but I admit it was a little difficult sometimes during that shoot because Christophe likes a very specific strong look (meaning no smile). I tend to like to express myself in as many and various ways possible during a shoot. I like to smile, laugh, scream, be mad, etc. When you ask me to just do one or two style, I feel all the other emotions in me are trapped. So it was a challenge for me. But in the end, the results are breathtaking and that’s what counts.

We present to you Bianca’s latest TV Interview which was aired October 29th. on national TV Radio Canada.  The show is called “La Fosse Aux Lionnes” (The Lionesses’ Den), sort of a french version of “The View”.  This interview comes shortly after Bianca’s many appearances in the local media during the Montreal Fetish Weekend 2008 where Bianca hosted the World Premiere of her new film Bianca Beauchamp All Access 2.

In this 10 minute interview, Bianca must face very direct questions about her career, why she is wearing latex, and her influence on young girls.  Some of the hostesses seem to be inclined to categorize Bianca’s latex modeling as pornographic work, which judging from their tone, is a bad thing.  Fortunately, Bianca was able to face the line of fire.  But perhaps the most disappointing thing with this type of interview where the interviewer has a prejudice against latex modeling, is that there is very little time spent actually talking with Miss Beauchamp about her achievements, how her career actually developed, or even her views on the world of latex modeling today compared to when she started.  And frankly, isn’t it misleading to invite someone for a 10 minute interview on their career, and lead them into a debate on topics such as porn and “hypersexualisation” of young girls?

But you be the judge of that, and while you’re at it, perhaps you can comment below on whether you think Bianca is doing porn or not – a subject that seemed to intrigue the hostesses very much.
